Cequint, a maker of mobile caller identification technologies, has agreed to be acquired for up to $112.5 million by Transaction Network Services. The deal marks a significant payout for Cequint, which was founded in 2004 and led by Rick Hennessey. TNS Inc., a publicly-traded company based in Reston, Virginia, is paying $50 million in cash and stock for Cequint. The company may pay out an additional $62.5 million if certain milestones are met.
